How to become a DIY astronomer

We wil still start this DIY with assumption that anyone who want to becomean ameteur astronomer,here are the ways to become one:

STEP-1 Read up....read and read upsome more

Hell,even the most informed astronomer of oue generation will admit to the big expancwand what's out there.You need to be familiar with night skyand the way its laid out.You will need to consept like celestial sphere,check the guide here:http:// digit.in/strChrt

STEP -2 Look up...and bring your smartphone along

If you've tried your hand at some star maps,now would be the right time to try and locate those constellations and you've have an easy tool with you-your smartphone.Download skymap for android it is an easy tool.

STEP-3 Get your own gear or build it

Before you google 'best telescopes under ...'keep in mind that often the best first telescope is a pair of binoculars.Check out the basic guide in NASA and advanced instructables.

STEP-4 Stargaze

Find a good nice spot with a clear sky above your head,preferably some where away with the blinding city lights

This star pupil badge is not mine,it belongs to marcus meldrew. I found it under my desk and picked up. He has'nt noticed it is gone yet.The badge must have fallen of his jumper.I am going to give it bacl to him.(eventually) Mr Fullerman made marcus a STAR PUPIL because he did all his homework on time and apparently he is been making a big effort in class. Marcus has not stopped bragging about his badge since he put it on. Amy has a star pupil badge before but i havent(yet) Mr Fullerman chooses different star pupils in every term.Ive noticed that if you have STAR PUPIL BADGE teachers are nicer and smile a lot more at you.ITS TRUE And you get to hang out in the library at lunchtimes(which will be exellent to catch With my comic reading).
